You Told Me So

My good friend Vivian has tried to convince on multiple occasions of the superior quality of the television show "Arrested Development." Her cajoling fell on deaf ears for a very long time. Well, I'm publicly announcing that she was right. I've just finished watching Season 1 on Hulu, and she was right - it's hilarious. I'm so sad that I didn't listen sooner. Any other picks, Viv?

So glad you're on the AD train. I love that show with all my heart.

Flight of the Conchords is another one of my non-reality show favorites. Clueless folk duo from New Zealand fumble around New York City trying to get their big break while occasionally breaking out into music videos = comedy gold.

Not a comedy, but I'm also going to recommend Fringe.

So glad you are finally convinced! That's my FAVORITE SHOW IN THE WORLD!!

Check out Flight of the Chonchords, too. It takes getting used to, but after a couple episodes it clicks and you find it's hilarious!! It's good clean fun. :-)

Well, mostly clean...haha. I suppose adult topics make their way in. But I don't think there is swearing in it, which is cool.

Finally!

I also cast my vote for Flight of the Conchords (thanks to Missy)

Hey Hermana, I knew you would appreciate the finer things in life. Season 2 is amazing as well. Season 3 is downright nutty.

I'll have try it sometime. Now that all of my regular shows have already finished for the season (The Office, House, etc) I'll have to find something else to occupy my summer!

...by the way Flight of the Conchords....HILARIOUS!!!

You could try Psych on USA, it is thoroughly amusing and full of pop culture references. It takes place in Santa Barbara too, which should necessitate your viewing it at least once. We love AD, we watched it back when it was still on and then some of the webisodes after.
